Meta: Gold rose on October 2, 2026 after a weak US jobs report. Gold Dajaluh explains why in simple words, with today’s 21K mithqal price in dollars and dinars.
Gold Dajaluh presents its weekly brief for Friday, October 2, 2026.
What happened? America announced that only 29,000 new jobs were created in September, much less than expected.
Why does that move gold? When the American economy looks weaker, people expect the US central bank to stop raising interest rates. Gold pays no interest, so when rates stop rising, gold becomes more attractive, and its price goes up.
How much did it change? In Dubai, 21K rose from Dh447.75 this morning to Dh451.75 this evening.
Example: One mithqal of 21K (5 grams) went from about $610 to about $615 in one day, roughly 969,000 dinars at this week’s market dollar rate, before making charges. Our shop prices update daily.
Should I buy now? If you need gold for a wedding or engagement, prices are still lower than at the start of September. You can buy part now and part later.
The honest caution: The next big US decision is on October 28. Prices can move either way. Never borrow to buy gold.
Gold Dajaluh — honest gold, honest weight.
