Gold Dajaluh presents its weekly brief for Monday, September 28, 2026. We pray for calm and safety for all our families. Here is what our customers need to know this week, in plain words.
The price: Gold is about 7% cheaper than it was at the end of August. The international price is near $4,300–4,350 per ounce. As a reference, the Dubai 21K rate this morning is about $123 per gram — around $615 per mithqal — before making charges and local costs. Our shop prices are updated daily; please ask for today’s rate.
Why it moved: Oil prices went up this month because of the Gulf war, but gold went down a little because of worries about inflation and high interest rates around the world. At the same time, Iraq’s oil exports are back above 3 million barrels a day, which is good news for the economy and for salaries.
For our customers — this week’s tips: If you are buying for a wedding or engagement, you can buy part of the set now and the rest later — so you are not betting everything on one day’s price. Always ask for the weight, the karat stamp and the making charge written separately on your receipt. Ask about our buy-back and exchange terms before you buy.
The honest cautions: No one can promise where gold goes next — it could get cheaper, or rise quickly if the situation in the Gulf gets worse. Buy what you need, with money you can spare. Please don’t borrow to buy gold.
